BioVladimir Kosma Zworykin was a Russian-American immigrant engineer who patented the technique of painting moving images on a flourescent surface by using magnetic fields to bend the paths of cathode rays. He died in 1982, one year after I was born. Today I use LCD monitors exclusively.
